Who am I? I am 15 years old I am a persistent, stubborn, ambitious and warrior person, I was born in Manizales, a little city in Colombia, but the most beautiful one, with a bipolar climate and very cool people I am still living in Manizales, and although I love this city I know that Medellin has better universities and I will go there to live when I graduate.
In this 15 years old of life I've been trough allot of events, events that can be connected with some famous songs, so I have planned an album titled JMSONG with three songs representing the most important stages of my life, I am completing it because I think it is a very cool idea to make a tribute to all the memories that I've had, because although they are in the past now they will be in my mind for ever, and maybe one day I can listen to this album and remember all this awesome memories. When this project is done I hope that my classmates, my teacher and even me get to know me better, to share with them some music that can connect with the events that have make me who I am now, Juan Miguel Sierra.
The songs I selected for this project are I love rock and roll by Joan Jett, People change by Joel & Luke and the final countdown by Europe. I choose "I love rock'n roll" because that was one of the first songs I learned to play in my guitar, so this song has a connection with my musical life and that is something especial for me, and also because thanks to this song I have now something to play when I am with my friends.
I hated soccer when I was a child, but now I love it, and this change from hate to love is a very important one, so I found a connection with a song called "People Change" by Joel & Luke, because in this song the sing about how do people's mind change, and in a certain way I did I hated soccer but now I love it, and this song reveals from me that I change allot of opinion, one day I like a son and at the other I don't.
Until eight grade I didn't cared much about my grades so I didn't do homework and I din't study I was like a dog I only ate, sleep and repeat, but it wasn't until I was talking with Rafael mVelazquez listening to music and talking very philosophically, we were Socrates and Leusipo, we talked for hours about studying and then he told me that we needed to fight for our dreams, that we had to study in order to be successful, and while he said that the song the "final countdown" by Europe was playing and we got inspired and decided to be more responsible so I told to my self and my parents a million times that I was going to be more responsible and that the first thing I was going to when I got home was my homework and its hard to do it, to change me, an irresponsible person, but I am trying my best and is a process. This song is important for me because it helps me to inspire each time I listen to it. If it wasn't for this song I would've told Rafael to shut up and still being a Jerk.
Therefore I think that these songs helped to form Juan Miguel Sierra, and I am trying to improve every day.I would like to give special thanks to Joan Jett for writing "I Love Myself for loving you" Joel & Luke for writing "People Change", and Europe for writing this awesome classic "The final countdown".And finally thank you for taking 5 min of your life to read this essay and also thank you for taking 10 min of your life for listening my album, I hope you enjoy it.
